How can I go to a dance club and pretend to enjoy?

29th October 2009

My hubby loves dancing at night clubs and I hate dancing. We are actually having serious marital problems as a result of this. Don’t mind the drinking and the night club scene, but its boring sitting alone most of the time when he’s dancing….what shud I do?

Bring someone else to talk to?

Get over your fragile little self, put on your dancing shoes and let it rip! Marital problems over.

If you don’t like dancing you could always wander around and talk to people who are sitting on the sidelines, too. From personal experience, I’ve actually met some pretty interesting people just standing back watching while my friends are out dancing. If you can hit on a good conversation with several different people, before you know it you’ll be having the time of your life, dancing or no dancing. And a few drinks here and there are always helpful to loosen up!

why are you torturing yourself, just don’t go to the clubs period, and set some house rules that will restrict or induce the time he spent dacing in the club, He’d rather dance for the lord, then you will never experence any marital problems I bet you.

i would say to enjoy the time you are spending with him. don’t pretend to enjoy it…. but actually enjoy it! get your butt on the dance floor and show him what you have! make the best of it. for example, i love to dance and my boyfriend hates it. and he loves to go to punk shows and push everyone around in the mash-pits and i hate it. so we take turns. some weekends he goes clubbing with my friends and i and he dances(not very well) and has a good time. i also go to his punk shows with his crazy friends and i have a good time. im not really into that whole scene but its fun cuz we make it fun together. and its specially fun to watch him act all silly with his buddies.

Discontinue lying and let him know you are not into it and maybe ask to go to a movie or other personal activity before the chaos between the both of you gets to be violent and/or cause other club goers harm.
